Theatre MAMA seeks experienced female DANCERS, ACTORS, and creative MOVEMENT ARTISTS for a theatrical promotion to support Chicago the Musical on Broadway. Performers will join, what Theatre MAMA calls the Dance Mob.
Part-time available. You MUST be over 5'7" to apply.
Hired performers will use their performing talents to promote the show theatrically. Imagine 4 performers, under the direction of a dance captain/tour manager, embodying the essence of CHICAGO through movement and acting while handing promotional materials to the public. Promotion takes place outdoors in Times Square.
People who love CHICAGO and FOSSE highly desirable. We need spirited people willing to explore their talents in the public arena and deliver a "total immersion" experience, using their dance skills to translate FOSSE on the streets and their acting skills to interact with the public in character.
FOR THE AUDITION: Please come prepared with the first minute of "All that Jazz" (Broadway recording), through "Slick Your Hair." If you do not have "All that Jazz" prepared, please come with 1-2 minutes showing your dance ability, preferably in a Fosse/Jazz style.
